BMW Ring Taxi

Chances are you have heard about this, but if you haven't you are in for a treat.

BMW will kindly have one of their driver training instructors (for a fee of course) drive you and two of your friends for a 'Taxi' lap of the Nordschleife circuit. This is no ordinary taxi though, as you will complete a lap of the circuit in under 8m30s - not bad for a 'family' car weighing over 2 tons with its cargo of paying customers on-board!

In years gone by the famous Sabine Schmitz was a pilot of one of these awesome machines. Sadly she no longer drives for BMW but don't let that put you off as no matter which pilot you get you are in for the ride of your life.

For the 2011 BMW used the e90 M3 saloon as the previous e60 M5 had ceased production pending the new model. The M3 has a V8 engine with over 400bhp and is without doubt one of the fastest cars out on track.

For 2012 the M5 is back – this time in ‘f10’ guise – a 4.4l V8 engine with twin turbo chargers and an astonishing 563bhp!

Booking the BMW Taxi is no easy affair however if you are booking a tour with us and would like a group booking we can secure your place as long as you give us plenty of notice. The 'ring taxi is very popular and gets booked up months in advance.
